Hoi An
The preserved old town, declared a World Heritage Site in 1999 is hugely popular with visitors to Quang Nam province. Architecturally the town embodies a blend of Vietnamese, Chinese, French and Portuguese architecture. Traditional houses line the streets of the old town, many of which now play host to boutique art galleries, traditional tailors, and some of Vietnam’s best restaurants.

- Warm weather all the year round.
- Dry season is from February until July with lots of sun and warmth.
- June to August has the highest temperatures
- February to April has low rainfall and comfortable temperatures
- September to January is the rainy season
PLACES OF INTEREST IN AND AROUND HOI AN
My Son Sanctuary. Is located about 60km from Hoi An. Out of the 225 Cham vestiges in Vietnam, this is one of the most prominent and significant centers of major SE Asian Hindu shrines, with 71 catalogued monuments and 32 epitaphs – the content of which is still being studied.
Opening times – 06:30-16:30 daily. Entry ticket 60,000 VND
Thanh Ha Pottery Village. Is located about 3km from the ancient town center. It is still a thriving pottery village dating back the 15th century
Includes the Terracotta Park and Museum open daily – 08:30-17:30
Tra Que Organic Vegetable Village. The village, named after a sweet-flavored herb cultivated in this area, is located north east of Hoi An old town. Centuries ago, it was an important stopping point for boats sailing down the De Vong river from/to Da Nang. This agricultural community supplies vegetables and herbs to most of Hoi An’s food outlets and markets.
