  • Travel to Sapa from Hanoi by overnight train to Lao Cai and then by road to Sapa town or surrounding homesteads.
  • Bus into Sapa Town.

 

WHEN TO VISIT

  • March to May and September to November are the best times to visit when the days are sunny and evenings cooler.
  • During the winter months of November-February the environment is cold, wet and foggy
    June and August is the high season.

Dragon Mouth Mountain (Ham Rong). A mountain range on the side of Sapa town shaped like a dragon’s mouth

Bac Ha Sunday Market. 76km from Lao Cai rail station.

Trekking. Numerous treks are available through the rice terraces and villages

Fansipan Peak. With an altitude of 3,143m Fansipan is the tallest mountain in Vietnam, as well as Laos and Cambodia and is known as “Indochina Rooftop”.

Now that the Fansipan Legend is operating you can make your own quicker journey to the top of the mountain by part cable car and part walking. This cable car is 6,292.5m long and is the longest non-stop 3 rope cable car
Operation times – 7:30-17:30 daily. Ticket price 600,000 VND (adult), 400,000 VND (child)
